ain't no sunshine when she's gone

So I just called my mom and she was busy so I ended up talking my dad for a few minutes while I waited for her to be done. And we were talking and he called me as “a smart girl” and he said, “wait. you’re not a smart girl, you’re a smart woman, my bad. sorry. and oh, you’ll be so proud of me” and then he told me about how both at work and in his social life he had recently called out other men, his peers, on referring to women as girls. 

And I was in fact super proud and I remembered why I love my dad even when I hate him.
