Mitt Romney’s chart of the “Obama Recession” actually starts in 2007. MoJo’s Adam Serwer (!!) notes:

With employment still hovering around nine percent, it’s not like Romney needs to lie in order to go after Obama’s record on the economy. Recent polls have shown nothing but grim news for the president on this front. Why be so conspicuously dishonest about it?

I’m confused…how can you be adding negative numbers of jobs?

In Obama’s it says -.8 million jobs added. HOW?

Yeah, uh, Obama didn’t become President until 2009, so whatever happened in 07-08 kind of have nothingggg to do with him…

also there are some economists who refer to this as not a recession

also can we see some facts about past presidents in this chart and maybe a more nuance analysis, I love charts and graphs as much as (or probably more than) the next person but come on, this is just totally lacking in the necessary information to actually analyze it
